Pineau des Charentes

Pineau des Charentes
Pineau des Charentes

The regional apéritif is a blend of grape juice (75%) and one year old cognac eau-de-vie (25%). Adding alcohol stops the fermentation process. Pineau is aged on lees in oak barrels which used to contain cognac and acquires all of its amazing flavours with time. The sugar and alcohol balance gives birth to a smooth and pretty delicate beverage. Here at Domaine Fradon we favour uniqueness over standardization and our pineau is aged for a minimum 5 years.
